Al Akhbar: ○ Washington and the US Embassy in Lebanon did not allow Iraqi Airways to land at Beirut airport and establish an air bridge to provide aid for the displaced, insisting that the aid must pass through Jordan for inspection first. ○ Washington also threatened to sanction Middle East Airlines (MEA) if it transported wounded patients from the Israeli pager attacks, on 16 and 17 September, on its flights to receive treatment abroad. ○ The US Embassy in Lebanon also reportedly receives a list of all passenger names traveling through Beirut airport from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
